Ed Sheeran Talks Dating Taylor Swift after Calvin Harris Boyfriend Breakup Rumors?

Long before Taylor Swift was even thinking about dating Calvin Harris her fans were hoping against hope that one day she and Ed Sheeran would wind up getting together. According to the latest gossip news updates, that is just never going to happen, however, as the "Don't" singer recently revealed that the 1989 artist just isn't his type. Word has it that Swift's friends and family still aren't sold on her new EDM boyfriend and think that the "Bad Blood" beauty should split from the Scottish DJ before her reputation takes a hit.

Despite the fact that thousands of tween fans the world over were dying for it to happen, Ed Sheeran recently admitted that he never once tried to put the moves on Taylor Swift in all the hours they spent working together.

While talking with Charlemagne the God on The Breakfast Club morning show, Sheeran explained that one of the real reasons he never tried anything with Taylor was because she was just too tall for him (via People):

"I don't know I get on really well with her...but [she's] too tall.

"I feel like we look like cast members of The Hobbit.

"She's like in the elven kingdom.

"She's hanging out with Galadriel and stuff, and I've got hairy feet and sh*t."

Although the internet has been awash with rumors that Taylor's friends want her to breakup with her new boyfriend, Calvin Harris, because of his reported reputation for hooking up with his female fans, a source close to the couple reveals in the June 8, issue of OK! Magazine that he seems to ditch his whole DJ persona whenever they are together:

"Calvin had a makeover, but he used to be dorky.

"He can just be himself with Taylor...he doesn't have to act like someone he's not."

If things ever do go south with Harris and Sheeran never comes around, Taylor could always turn to Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl for affection.

During a radio interview, the iconic Nirvana drummer joked that his infatuation with the "Bad Blood" songwriter may no longer be healthy at this point (via CNN):

"I'm officially obsessed...She might want to get a restraining order."

Let's hope that the knowledge that the entertainment industry is teaming with guys and girls more than happy to take his place will hopefully keep Calvin in line for years to come.
