Recording artist Usher's five-year-old son was involved in a near death, tragic pool accident. The stars son was rushed to the ICU Tuesday morning, after nearly drowning in a pool.
TMZ reported that the near fatal accident occurred after the boy, Usher Raymond V, was in the pool and dove underwater to retrieve a toy lodged in the pools drain. Little Raymond V's arm then got caught in the drain.
Raymond V's aunt, who was in the pool at time tried unsuccessfully to free the child's arm. A maid then jumped into pool to attempt to rescue Raymond, to no avail.
The boy was finally freed after two workmen came from inside the house and managed to save him.
The older Usher reportedly arrived as his namesake was undergoing life-saving CPR. The singer rode alongside his son in the ambulance to an Atlanta hospital.
Usher and his ex wife Tameka Foster are at their son's bedside. Raymond V remains in the ICU but doctors expect a full recovery, thanks to the heroic actions of those on the scene.
Foster sadly suffered s tragedy last year when her 11-year-old son Kile Glover was killed in Jet Ski accident. Thankfully, Foster and family were spared another loss today.
Usher and Foster also share another son, four-year-old Naviyd Ely.
