‘Bunheads’ Emma Dumont Talks New NBC Charles Manson Series ‘Aquarius’ Before ‘Hannibal’ Premiere Date

NBC’s is gearing up for its Summer line-up with one hell of a Thursday night. Not only is Hannibal returning for a third season, but NBC is taking us back in time on a manhunt for Charles Manson in Aquarius. The new show stars David Duchovny (Californication, X Files), Gethin Anthony, Claire Holt and Emma Dumont (Bunheads). Recently, Dumont opened up about her role on the new series, ahead of its May 28 premiere date.

In NBC’s new series Aquarius, Bunheads alum, Emma Dumont plays the fictitious Emma Karn. Recently, Dumont opened up to TV Line about her role the new series, stateing:

“Emma is someone who looks picture-perfect from the outside. The way they did my hair and makeup, wardrobe, everything -- she looks like a doll with a perfect dollhouse and a perfect mommy and daddy. But there’s a lot of fire underneath the surface. There’s a lot of turmoil.”

That fire and turmoil is going to push her towards the Manson Family:

“Emma definitely gets to a place where she’s very comfortable with Manson and the family. I mean, she’s kinda part of the family. She’s in way over her head when she goes in, but I don’t even think she knows she’s in over her head.”

The two hour premiere of Aquarius airs this Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
