While it seems like absolute madness now that Demi Moore's eldest daughter with Bruce Willis, Rumer, already has the Season 20 Dancing with the Stars Mirror Ball trophy, the Striptease star admits that she didn't want the aspiring singer to join the TV show when she was first being considered for the 2015 cast. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Charlie's Angels bikini beauty was afraid that Rumer and pro-partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, might not only not win but also open her Instagram model daughter up to more criticism in the process. Once it became apparent that Rumer was favored to win the whole shebang, however, her mom quickly got on board -- showing up on each episode to cheer her little girl on from the sidelines.
It might be a little hard to imagine after watching her win the other night on Dancing with the Stars that there was ever a time when Demi Moore was advising her daughter, Rumer Willis, to pass on the hit ABC series out of fear that she might otherwise be terribly embarrassed, but the former sex-symbol admits that she really had her reservations going into the competition.
Demi explains in the June 1, issue of OK! Magazine that her heart skipped a beat for all the wrong reason when she first heard the news that Rumer had been cast in Season 20:
"My whole insides...were screaming, 'No!'
"But one of the most beautiful things I've witnessed is watching her passion become greater that her fear."
Now that the whole thing is over, Rumer has already seemed to have forgotten all the truley scary moments -- telling Time magazine in a joint interview with Val Chmerkovskiy that she absolutely loved every minute of being on the show:
"I think the whole experience was really special. It's an incredible journey.
"I don't think you can describe what an intense and unique experience it is...I had the time of my life."
While Willis has made no secret of her plans to use her Dancing with the Stars success to help catapult her bergeoning sining career, she told Time that she her career as a professional dancer wasn't over just yet:
"I'm going to do a couple of dates with the Dancing with the Stars tour, which I'm really excited about.
"I'm also going to be in a show that Val is putting together with his family called Sway, which I'm really excited about.
"It's going to be in New York on June 5 and 6 at the Hammerstein Ballroom."
If her covers are anywhere near as hot as her dance moves, Rumer's first album sasles should wind up being better than average.
