During her now infamous interview with Dr. Phil, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member, Kim Richards, revealed that she had not spoken to her sister Kyle, since they had been forced to film the Season 5 reunion together. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, the reality TV stars are attempting to mend fences with Kyle even set to attend the destination wedding of Kim's daughter Brooke Brinson. Kim also got another bit of good news when a California judge ruled that she only had to pay a little over $8K in damages to Kay Rozario instead of the even $1 Million that the 80-year-old longtime family friend was first asking for after being attacked by Richards' pit-bull Kingsley.
Just after Kim Richards' run in with the police at the Beverly Hills Hotel it looked like her relationship with sister, Kyle, was perhaps irreparable, but now it seems as though the ladies might be able to patch things up after all.
According to TMZ, once Kyle went out of her way to let Kim know she cared when the cameras weren't rolling, it turned out her sister didn't hate her after all:
"The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' siblings have been taking steps to repair their relationship since their epic, finger-pointing fight on the season 5 reunion show.
"Kyle visited Kim when she was in rehab.
"Kyle RSVP'd "yes" to niece Brooke Brinson's destination wedding next weekend, and for her part Kim backed down from her original position.
"Kyle wants desperately to preserve the family, and not going to her niece's wedding would be unthinkable."
Paris Hilton's socialite mother and half-sister to the feuding Housewives, Kathy Hilton, tells People that Kim is finally getting her life back on track back now that she's in rehab (via Reality Tea):
"She's great... She's doing really, really well.
"I'm very proud of her. She decided on her own to go.
"Kim needs to learn tools to cope when there is something that is upsetting. You have to learn to use the tools to not fall off the wagon."
Longtime friend of the family, Kay Rozario, who was reportedly awarded $8,081 after being attacked by Kim's pit-bull Kingsley, thinks that Richards is utterly incorrigible, however.
In a statement to Radar Online following the trial, Kay marveled that any justice was finally coming Kim's way at all after a lifetime of her getting away with behaving just as poorly as she likes:
"Kim is too far gone and there is really no hope for her at this point.
"I was surprised about the arrest because Kim has always been able to talk herself out of anything."
Let's hope that Kim's stay in rehab also helps her to be a more responsible dog owner and a better friend to the elderly.
