John Lurie Prints (Other than 'Bear Surprise') for Sale [PHOTOS]

In 1978, saxophonist John Lurie formed the Lounge Lizards with his brother Evan Lurie. Robert Palmer (critic, not singer) described the band as "staking out new territory west of Mingus, east of Bernard Herrman." To wit, here's a full-length concert from late March of 1991 at Berlin's Quartier Latin Club.

In early 2006, artist John Lurie finished his explicit watercolor Bear Surprise. That painting was memed in February of 2008, when Russian internet user Roman Yatsenko uploaded an edited version to Dirty.ru--replacing the English word “surprise” with “ПРЕВЕД."
