Starring Kate Nowlin as Coach Starr, Drew McVety as her violin-playing father John and Henry Stam as, umm, Charles Ives, Charles Ives Take Me Home was a comedic and poignant story of dissonance, defense and devotion for Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
Charles Isherwood of the New York Times deemed the production “inventive,” full of “terrific performances” and “fluently directed by Daniella Topol.”
Meanwhile, the New York Post duly noted that Jessica Dickey’s drama included several excerpts from Ives’ compositions, "credibly performed by Stram on piano and McVety on violin.”
