It seems that things are looking up for Ellen DeGeneres in both her personal and professional life. According to the latest gossip news updates, the talk show host is getting along better than ever with wife, Portia de Rossi, who is currently guest starring on Shonda Rhimes' hit politically themed TV drama, Scandal, thanks to a new postnuptial. The Arrested Development actress is said to be a lot happier now that they supposedly have a binding divorce agreement in place. Its being reported that Ellen is also launching a new show with Kings of Comedy original Steve Harvey as well for network giant NBC. The new variety show, Little Big Shots, will feature extraordinarily talented children performing amazing feats before hamming it up with the celebrity comedians.
While it is often being reported by the supermarket tabloids that Portia de Rossi is on the verge of divorcing Ellen DeGeneres for either being mean, controlling, argumentative or a combination of all three, a source in the May 11, issue of Star Magazine claimed that the couple were getting along better than they had in months now that they have finally agreed on all the specifics that their split would in tell should they ever feel their relationship is truly over:
"Portia was ready to throw the towel in and call it quits, but Ellen begged her not to, even suggesting they renew their vows.
"Portia agreed on the condition they get a postnup."
Perhaps, Ellen personal life is currently being buoyed the rising tide of her television career.
In addition to all the new shows she's producing alongside her outrageously successful talk show, The Hollywood Reporter announced earlier this week that Ellen will soon be launching yet another new show with none other than the Family Feud's very own, Steve Harvey:
"NBC is making a big bet on Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey -- and a cadre of wunderkinds
"The network is moving forward with a new comedy/variety show, tentatively titled Little Big Shots, with Harvey attached to host.
"The series will showcase young, gifted performers, including musicians (think 5-year-old piano virtuosos) and dancers (pint-size break-dancers), who will go toe to toe with Harvey in conversations and interviews."
It still seems arguable whether or not Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's marriage really is safe just yet, but the 57-year-old's current dominance of the television landscape is absolutely indisputable.
