Tim Allen, star of Last Man Standing, admits that he uses the n-word often. The star went on to defend embattled celebrity chef Paula Deen for saying she used the racial slur in the past.
Tim Allen may have lost his mind. In an interview he conducted over a month ago, the star said some pretty offensive things, and social networking sites are calling him out.
The crazy statements came after Allen was asked about the controversy surrounding Paula Deen admitting to using racial slurs in the past. Tim had a lot to say...including that the country is moving backwards:
"I've had this argument on stage a million times. I do a movie with Martin Lawrence and pretty soon they're referring to me, 'hey my n----r sup.' So I'm the n----r' if I'm around you guys but 7 feet away, if I said n----r, it's not right. It's very confusing to the European mind how that works, especially if I've wither grown up or evolved or whatever, it literally was growing up in Colorado with Hispanics and Angloss, that's all I remember. So when Paula Deen (admits her language) they go after her. Now we’ve gone backwards in the world.”
Allen goes on to offer his own theory behind using the word. It appears that Allen believes he can take some of the power away from the word by frequently using it:
"You want to take the power away from that word so that no one is offended by it. If I have no intent, if I show no intent, if I clearly am not a racist, then how can 'n-----' be bad coming out of my mouth?"
Yeah...we’re gonna go ahead and call it. ABC is going to fire Tim Allen.
