During his time on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, Chris Soules has steadily been accused of being more interested in riding out his Bachelor fame than getting married to his Season 19 winner, Whitney Bischoff. According to the latest gossip news updates, now that Prince Farming has been eliminated from Season 20 along with pro-partner, Witney Carson, he is more than ready once again to start planning their wedding.
While the tabloids have been hard at working trying to make Chris Soules look like a fame-whore despite his small town demeanor, Prince Farming insists that he is more than happy to get back to his quiet little farm in Iowa, now that things have finally come to an end on Dancing with the Stars.
During his post-elimination interview with E! News, Soules explained that he was happy to get his thoughts back on planning a wedding and tending to his fields:
"Now we can start to focus on that. I'll let you know how it goes!
"We're planting corn at home right now and that's been on my mind. I've been missing it to a certain extent."
Soules seconded those plan in the follow-up interview with Us Weekly, insisting that now that he's got the fever dream that was his time on Dancing with the Stars behind him, he and Whitney are looking forward to little else with the same kind of excitement reserved for their big day on the farm:
"All this...This is not real life. L.A. isn't real life for me.
"Arlington is and Chicago -- that's real life and we want to take that step and then we'll make those plans."
When asked about Bischoff's noticeable absence from the show, he explained that sometimes it just made sense for Whitney to do her own thing, when business or family obligations forced them apart:
"I think it's healthy for her to be away -- [tonight] she's with family, it's actually the anniversary of her mom's death,"
"I know she's there for me and when all of this is over it'll be nice to just be together."
Let's hope the next Bachelor turns out to be every bit as classy as the last...and if he's a slightly better dancer to boot, that certainly wouldn't hurt.
