Although it might seem like Nicki Minaj and Destiny's Child R&B icon Beyoncé would have a lot in common, it's said that the two big bootied beautys have serious beef thanks to Drake. According to the alt latest gossip news updates, Meek Mill's Pinkprint girlfriend was highly offended when Jay Z's baby momma refused to take the stage with her at the Canadian rapper's recent concert. While the "Bootylicious" Super Bowl singer may still be the biggest queen bee of the stage, the "Anaconda" Instagram bikini model may be able to eclipse Kim Kardashian's gal pal on the silver screen if her spot on Barbershop 3 turns Nicki into the next Ice Cube.
Nicki Minaj may have not hit full-blown Beyoncé status just yet, but that doesn't mean that the rapper doesn't demand to be respected by the Destiny's Child singer.
A source claiming to have been back stage at the Drake concert in question insists in the May 18, issue of Life & Style that things got ugly when on honest miscommunication turned into a out right insult:
"Event organizers AEG asked Beyoncé to hop onstage with Drake for a surprise performance...but Drake had already asked Nicki to join him.
"[So] Bey wound up pulling the plug on her performance altogether...it caused a huge scene backstage.
"When Nicki found out that Bey had pulled out because of her."
According to the informant, Knowles wanted to just treat the whole eiposde like an insignificant little mix-up, but Minaj was walking around backstage letting everyone know that she thought Beyoncé was a real so-and-so for not having the confidence or class to share the stage with another strong female entertainer:
"Nicki thought it was typical of Bey to want to be the center of attention and not share the stage with another woman.
"When Drake finally went on, both women stood and watched from the side of the stage before Nicki went on, but it was really awkward.
"Beyoncé tried to act like nothing happened but Nicki was throwing her some serious shade...Nicki was b*tching Beyoncé out after the show."
Now that Nicki is also co-staring in her next major league movie, Barbershop 3, maybe her next time out with Beyoncé, Mrs. Z will even ask her to replace Kelly Rowland in the band.
Well-respected Variety magazine reports that along with the "Anaconda" booty shaker will be the original cast reprising their roles as hair-stylists with hearts of solid gold:
"Rapper Nicki Minaj will co-star in New Line/MGM's Barbershop 3 alongside Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer.
"Minaj will play Draya, the sassy new hairdresser of the beauty shop portion of the barbershop."
Now, all Nicki has to do is make sure that it makes more money the Dreamgirls and Beyoncé won't be able to tell her jack.
