It seems that Hilary Duff's almost-ex-husband, Mike Combie, is not content to act out solely in bars, the retired NHL millionaire is reportedly taking the Younger actress to court over custody of their son, Luca. According to the latest gossip news updates, Mike is angry at his wife's attempt at gaining full custody of their son, but Duff's friends insist that the hockey player always seemed more interesting in partying than parenting. Word has it that as shocked as the former Disney diva was to hear that Mike was going to be challenging her in divorce court, she is moving on romantically for the sake of her career. It looks like Duff is currently filming all the new dates she is setting up through her brand new Tinder account with the hopes of turning the footage into a successful reality TV show.
After Mike Combie's reported bad behavior led to Hilary Duff divorcing him in February, he sure isn't helping his reputation very much by supposedly challenging his soon-to-be-ex in court for custody of their son, Luca.
One source close to Duff reveals in the May 11, issue of Star magazine that Hilary was kind of taken a back that Mike wasn't more than willing to pass the parenting buck just the way he's always been:
"She doesn't trust Mike to be with Luca for days at a time.
"He's much of a partyer.
"She didn't expect him to fight her on this."
Or course, Mike could just be furious at the news that his wife is currently on Tinder -- swiping right on every cutie that looks to be camera ready and reality TV worthy.
According to the dedicated journalist at TMZ, Duff is currently doing her best to build a brand new reality dating show about her Tinder exploits from the ground up:
"She's shooting footage of all her dates setup through the app [Tinder]...and there's a chance it could turn into a reality show.
"Hilary plans to shoot more footage as she dives into the dating world ... and hopes to use it to develop a reality show -- that would focus on her life as a new divorcée.
"Think 'Stella' getting her groove back...but whiter."
Whatever Mike's motivations for reportedly taking his wife to court, it's apparent that this divorce has left Duff a little cynical these days when it comes to matters of the heart.
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Hilary even went so far as to suggest love may not be able to even last forever, after she has seen what happened to the feelings she once shared with Combie (via NY Daily News):
"I don't want to sound bitter because I'm definitely not...but I don't know if people are meant to be together forever.
"Things happen over a long relationship that you can't always fight."
Let's hope that Hilary Duff can one day move past whatever it is Mike Combie did to her during those three-trying-years they were married.
