A&E’s smash hit, Duck Dynasty, will be returning for a fourth season. Today the network announced the official premiere date. The entire cast will be returning for the upcoming debut, including a new addition--their beardless brother.
You can catch the brand new season, which begins August 14 at 10:00 p.m.
There will be a few upcoming changes to the Robertson clan...including the addition of a new brother who will be appearing on the upcoming season.
Alan is a 47-year-old preacher from Louisiana, who is known for always wearing suits and being clean shaven. Robertson preaches full time in the boys’ hometown.
In an interview with The New York Post, Alan talked about the anonymity he is receiving and why he wanted to join the cast in the first place:
“The beards are so iconic. All this time I’ve been flying under the radar; I can go to Starbucks and get Mama coffee. But, I’m excited about this new opportunity. Because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people.”
Dynasty is A&E’s most successful show...by far. The season 3 finale drew an audience of ten million people. That is unheard of for the once struggling network.
The show follows a family of backwoods millionaires who are known for their iconoclastic, if excessive, beards. Some of them almost touch the ground.
The family made their millions by manufacturing duck calls under the Duck Commander brand. The duck hunting brand is, somehow, even more successful than the show itself.
