Penelope Cruz has welcomed into the world her second baby with partner Javier Bardem. Not a lot has been revealed about their new child, including the baby’s name, which remains unknown. Penelope’s sister, Monica, was delighted by the new addition to their family. The child was born at Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid, Spain.
Penelope Cruz, legendary actress, delivered her second child the same day as Kate Middleton. Cruz, who is notoriously private, is probably grateful for the coincidence, as it took some of the spotlight off of her, for once.
Cruz doesn’t mind the publicity, herself...it is her children she is worried about. The actress spoke about this earlier in the year:
‘'I want my son and my kids--if I have more--to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible. The fact that his father and I have chosen to do the work we do doesn't give anybody the right to invade our privacy.'’
The couple welcomed their first child into the world in 2011. It was a boy named Leo and it totally changed Penelope’s life, as she revealed to Vogue the year of his birth:
“It’s a revolutionary experience. That’s the best way I can describe it. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment--when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”
