Kirk Cameron, super Christian and anti-gay actor, is rejoicing this morning. His new movie, Unstoppable, whose trailer links were originally banned on Facebook, is now back. The world’s most popular social networking site responds to the brief exclusion.
The 42-year-old actor certainly has been busy since his days on the set of Growing Pains. Of course, most of that time has been spent preaching and not acting. Though, the holier than thou performer has released a series of straight-to-video releases to his new (and entirely Christian) audience.
Of course, Cameron claims that his fall from (Hollywood’s) grace comes from his own religious beliefs. But, it’s very difficult to play the victim when the majority of the world’s population shares your same religious views.
Still, Cameron got his panties in a wad, yet again, when Facebook accidently banned links to his newest low-budget, high-judgment flick. Without consulting the social networking site, Cameron knew immediately what was happening--the devil...and gays and lesbians everywhere...had targeted him and his savior.
Facebook, however, revealed the actual cause today, issuing the following statement:
"To protect the hundreds of millions of people who connect and share on Facebook every day, we have automated systems that work in the background to stymie bad actors who often use links to spread spam and malware. These systems are not perfect, though, and in rare instances they make mistakes. This link was blocked for a very short period of time after being misidentified as a potential spam or malware site."
Kirk Cameron, despite all evidence, facts and data, still feels differently, telling his followers:
“People tried to stop Unstoppable on Facebook, and because millions of us joined together as one voice Facebook has apologized and welcomed us back!"
Hallelujah...Now fans everywhere can watch yet another one of Kirk's terrible movies.
