Kate Middleton’s due date has finally arrived and the young royal is in labor. The palace has confirmed that Kate is in the early stages of labor and will soon be welcoming into the world her very own prince or princess. With the big gender reveal coming soon, the press is in a frenzy.
WIth most media outlets reporting that Kate’s due date was on July 13, the press has been waiting outside of the hospital for more than a week. Today, however, they may have something to report on, as Fox News reports:
“Britain and the world eagerly awaited word Monday of Prince William and wife Kate Middleton's first child and heir to the throne after the Duchess of Cambridge went into labor earlier in the day. She was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital early Monday morning after arriving in a private car with her husband. She is expected to give birth in the private Lindo Wing of the hospital, where Princess Diana gave birth to William and to his younger brother, Harry.”
With nearly every news organization reporting an incorrect due date, how can their be any certainty that Kate is actually in labor? Well...the palace has issued an official statement.
A spokesman for the palace released the following statement this morning:
"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour. The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge,"
Wow! It appears that this thing is finally going to happen, and we couldn’t be happier for the royal couple.
