George Zimmerman, who was found innocent by the jury of the Trayvon Martin murder trial, may have some big problems (and blood) on his hands. Zimmerman, it appears, is being hunted down by the New Black Panthers. A YouTube video released over a year ago, is offering a reward for the capture of George Zimmerman.
Despite being released in March 2012, an Internet video issuing a bounty for Zimmerman is making its way around various press outlets. The clip, which prominently features Mikhail Muhammad, New Black Panthers' member, calling for "justice." Muhammad, dressed in full military attire, addressed a small crowd, telling them:
"We’re going to force our government to do their job properly, and if they don’t, we will.We’re saying to President Obama, you gotta do your job on this one. So white America, we have given you 400 years to get it right and you still have failed black people...Today as black men, we must stand up. We must say to white America, ‘Time is up for you.’"
While the video was released over a year ago, the Panther's message hasn't really changed. Following the verdict, the leader of the New Black Panther's, Malik Zulu Shabazz, issued the following statement:
"George Zimmerman will always be hunted and hated like the villain that he is and the demon that he is to many. Those jurors were making a direct statement to black America. They were telling us that, ‘We are in fear of the black male, fear of the black man and fear of the Trayvon Martins and we are going to maintain this first, the right of us to kill you n****r.’"
