The Royal Baby Watch has caught the world by storm, and it turns out that princess Kate Middleton may be in labor. Her alleged due date has come and gone, and Queen Elizabeth II was seen rushing home from an event she was attending.
Kate, who will soon be having her very own prince or princess, was thought to have a due date of July 13. But, six days later, we are still without the brand new heir. As America, England and well...the rest of the free world, waits to catch a glimpse of the young royal, it appears that Kate may finally be entering labor.
At least, that’s what a number of gossip sites are claiming. But, how did this rumor get started? Well, it began when the Queen abruptly left a scheduled appearance on July 18.
The Queen, who loves cricket, was attending a match at the famous Lords. Even after arriving late to the match, Queen Elizabeth left the game after just one hour. This lead many people to speculate that Kate was finally delivering the queen’s third great grandchild.
Gossip site Hollywood Life recounted the queen’s exit as well as the speculation that surrounded it:
“The 87-year-old stayed for about an hour, but left without warning. Her abrupt exit sparked rumors that she had to leave early to be there for the birth of her grandson Prince William and wife Kate’s first baby.”
Whether or not Kate is in labor is yet to be known, but we at Offbeat bet this is just the rumor mill.
