Tonight, HBO’s Game of Thrones is back with an all new episode. It was recently revealed that the series will end before the books, possibly spoiling the ending of the novels. We say possibly, because the show is not just on an advance time-table, but is also starting to drift further and further from the books. Where the main story is expected to stay the same, some elements might still be fresh for readers. One of the most controversial departures from the book series happend last year, when Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau) raped his sister Cersei (Lena Headey)after their son Joffrey had died. Now, the Kingslayer himself is opening up about who he thinks will end up on the Iron Throne when it is all said and done. Check out the report to hear Nikolaj Coster Waldau’s comments and get a preview of tonight’s new episode.
The official plot synopsis for tonight's all new episode of Game of Thrones, titled “High Sparrow,” reads:
“Cersei meets the High Sparrow after learning of a clergyman's embarrassing tale. Meanwhile, Davos talks to Jon about the future of Winterfell, where Ramsay Snow has just learned the identity of his future bride; Arya grows impatient doing menial tasks in the House of Black and White; and Tyrion searches for more comfortable surroundings on a long trip with Varys.”
Recently, Jaime Lannister himself, Nikolaj Coster Waldau, opened up to Entertainment Weekly Radio about who he thinks will end up sitting on the Iron Throne.
"When people ask me, 'Who do you think will end up on the Throne,' I always think of Bran Stark. Because I think, when you go back to Episode 1, there's just something about what's happening to him. He's such a wise kid and you know that he is connected to a whole different level. Obviously, he's gonna play a major part in the end game."
What do you think about Nikolaj’s prediction? Who do you want to see sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of the series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
