It's been a petty good week for Anna Chlumsky, who stars in HBO's comedy Veep. The pregnant actress gave birth to her baby and received an Emmy nomination within seven days. That's not too shabby.
Chlumsky, the 32-year-old actress who stars beside Julia Louis-Dreyfus on HBO, welcomed into the world her first daughter with husband Shaun So. Anna and Sean married each other back in 2008 and are overjoyed to have a child together.
Their daughter, Penelope Joan So, was born on July 11 and has been a delight ever since, as Anna tells People Magazine:
"She's a really good mix between my husband and me. When she's with him, you see him, and when she's with me, you see me. She's a perfect mix. We think she has my mouth, but it's hard to tell. Even the color of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full head of hair."
Anna went on to discuss how much she loves being a new mother:
"You prepare for so long, and all of a sudden the baby's here...It's seriously the best thing. Holding her is fantastic. It's one of the more enjoyable things. It doesn't get boring at all. I could hold her all day."
In addition to her newfound bundle of joy, Anna may be getting another new edition--an Emmy. It was announced earlier in the week that Mrs. Chlumsky was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
This marks her first Emmy Nomination.
