There was one big winner for this past weekend’s Powerball lottery $50 million jackpot. That means that tonight’s all new game has a new lower total. Check the report below to see how much you could win in tonight’s game as well an update on all the latest winners.
The official Powerball lottery website news info crawl is reporting on the winner of Saturday’s lottery game:
“There was one winner sold by the Puerto Rico Lottery for the last drawing's $50,000,000 grand prize.”
That means that the totals for tonight’s game have reached dropped back down to $40 million with an estimated cash value of $26.8 million.
This past Saturday’s big win is the second big Powerball win in April, and the eight massive jackpot giveaway this year. That includes February's big half a billion dollar win that was split three different ways.
One third of that massive jackpot prize went to an Austin trust, as The official Powerball website lottery reports:
“The Powerball jackpot-winning ticket sold in Texas for the historic Feb. 11 drawing has been claimed. TL Management Trust, Andrew Weber, Trustee of Austin claimed the $127,046,150.05 Cash Value Option prize from the $564.1 million jackpot at Texas Lottery headquarters in Austin today. The claimant requested minimal publicity.
“The ticket was purchased at the Appletree Food Mart, located at 893 E. Princeton Drive in Princeton. For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the retailer is eligible for a $1 million bonus. Winning tickets were also sold in North Carolina and Puerto Rico. The winner's ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (11-13-25-39-54) and the red Powerball (19).”
