An arrest warrant has been issued for former professional wrestler Ric Flair. Flair could face jail time for failure to pay estranged wife, Jacqueline Beems, spousal support. Beems faces charges of her own for harassment.
Flair, who was ordered to pay $4000 in monthly support to his wife after their legal separation last year, is a little behind on the bill. If you can call $32,352.51 a little.
The self professed "jet flying, limousine ridding, styling and profiling" super star has a history of not paying his debts. Flair has been sued twice in the past for failing to pay both wresting organization, Ring of Honor, and Highspots Inc, a combined total of $75,000. Flair was caught trying to sell his NWA title belt to two different companies. Yikes!
The 64-year-old Nature Boy also appears to have a penchant for patterns. The 16-time former world champion has four failed marriages under his heavyweight belt.
Flair released a statement on Wednesday attempting to explain his most recent finical mishap.
"The reason I didn't pay...the 32 grand is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month. I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn't go to work for three months,"
Flair's son, Reed, tragically passed away in March from an overdose of heroin and prescription pills.
His soon to be ex-wife, Jackie Beem, has some legal woes of her own. She is facing charges for a series of threatening phone calls she allegedly made to Flair's current girlfriend.
