Spoiler Alert: Tonight, Fox’s Batman prequel Gotham is back with an all new episode. This week’s all new episode features the former Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia as the villain Ogre. Now, Ventimiglia is opening up about what drew him to the show, praising producer Bruno Heller, alongside Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter, for the way they write strong male characters.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Gotham, titled “Under the Knife,” reads:
“The Ogre targets someone close to Gordon; Bruce and Selina expose a corrupt Wayne Enterprises employee; and Nygma comes to Kristin Kringle's defense.”
Recently, Ogre actor Milo Ventimiglia, opened up to the associated press about how he was drawn to the strong male characters in Gotham (via pressofatlanticcity.com):
"They're strong, they have a purpose and a direction. I identify with what I am. I'm a man and want to play a great male character. Thank god for guys like Heller or Kurt Sutter who give us these great characters for actors to play with."
The former Heroes star also went on to discuss what is it like playing the villain:
"We all have it in us to be very dark individuals, but hopefully we choose not to be.To play a villain, to play a bad guy, to play a killer, it's fun because it's make-believe and it's complete pretend. At the end of the day I get to step off-camera and go back to being myself, but as the cameras are rolling I can be as sick as I possibly can."
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Gotham, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on Fox:
