Crazy Michele Bachmann Investigation Scandal, Aide NOT Husband Responsible for Theft

Representative Michele Bachmann, who is known for her crazy statements and odd husband, has a new scandal to contend with. One of her top aides was arrested for theft.

Bachmann, who is no stranger to controversy, certainly didn’t see this coming. The Minnesota congresswoman, who often suffered from migraines during her unsuccessful presidential bid, probably has a heck of a headache today.

Javier Sanchez, a 37-year-old Virginia native, has been arrested for stealing from Bachmann’s chief of staff, as The Daily Mail reports:

“Sanchez was caught on hidden camera by U.S. Capitol Police stealing two separate envelopes from a desk in her chief of staff's office. One envelope was marked '$80 petty cash' and the other '$120 birthday money.’ The thefts took place in the Rayburn office building.”

Sanchez served as a prominent legislative adviser to Bachmann, before getting his chubby little hand caught in the cookie jar. He has since been fired by the Bachmann camp since his July 11 arrest.

Sanchez was charged with second degree misdemeanor theft and is due back in court on August 26. Until then, he has been released on his own personal recognizance.

He’s not the only one out of a job, either. Mrs. Bachmann made national headlines back in May when she announced that she would not be seeking re-election in a painfully awkward YouTube vid:

“The law limits anyone from serving as president of the United States for more than eight years, and in my opinion, well, eight years is also long enough for an individual to serve as a representative for a specific Congressional district.”
