While Kim Richards' fall from grace has been a major theme of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 5, word has it that her recovery is not coming to be included on the TV show next year. According to the latest gossip news updates, Kyle's less than sober sister is not going to be allowed to return to the Bravo cast until she gets her issues with alcohol under control. Although Kim is reported to have virtually been fired since her drunken arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel earlier in the week, her fellow 2015 reunion punching bag, Brandi Glanville, insists that some drinking is necessary just to get a night of reality TV .
At first glance Kim Richards' arrest last week might look like a goldmine for Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills producers, but apparently one season staring at that train wreck was enough.
A source close to the series told Us Weekly, that Kim is going to have to get herself back on the wagon, while she's away from the show, if she ever wants to be a fulltime part of the cast again:
"There's no interest in putting her back on television unless she's addressed her issues.
"The show didn't trigger her addiction -- and her recovery also needs to happen outside of it."
Now that Kim's drinking can no longer be denied by the former child star, the show seems to be questioning the ethics behind documenting the fiasco, but Brandi Glanville told Access Hollywood that the producers are ultimately responsible for setting up the toxic situations that practically force the women into having to drink to survive:
"I can't drink the whole time and show up to these things and function. It's impossible
"You see an hour a week, we shoot for three months out of the year."
According to Brandi, you can tell she's not a drunk, despite her drinking on the job, because she hasn't managed to kill her career her or kids yet:
"I think I was tipsy two times?
"I think if I had a drinking problem I wouldn't have everything that I have going on.
"I'm working on my third book, I have a new wine coming out. I have two children."
Really, you have to wonder how these liquored up ladies don't wind up shattering more wind glasses.
