Tyra Banks, host of the popular America’s Next Top Model, recently invested big in a fashion site. The community-based shopping site, The Hunt, is receiving a ton of hits from the new announcement.
Tyra, the 39-year-old supermodel and television personality, has recently put her money where her mouth is.
The international star has become a partner in fashion website The Hunt. With so many websites dedicated to fashion and shopping, how has The Hunt attracted celebrity investors?
They have a very particular (and pretty cool) niche. Users on the site will be able to track down clothing spotted on celebrities in photos or outfits posted anywhere online.
That’s not the only reason Tyra is investing, as she revealed the following about her investment decision:
"I created Fierce Capital LLC because supporting female owned, led and targeted businesses is extremely important to me. We are excited about The Hunt, our first fashion investment, because it truly sucks to discover a great style item but not be able to find and buy it. The Hunt solves that fashion dilemma in a fun and innovative way. What I love about The Hunt is that women help other women find their perfect outfit, head-to-toe. I am excited to be part of this new approach to collective retail and styling."
For the past ten years, Banks has served as the creator, judge and host of the popular America’s Next Top Model. From 2000 - 2003, the show appeared on UPN. But, after continued success in the ratings, the show found itself hosted by The CW, where it remains today.
