When it was first announced that NeNe Leakes was getting a new show on Bravo with former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kim Zolciak most folks assumed it was part of some larger deal to keep her on the popular TV show for at least one more season, but word has it the Glee star needed more than just a new spin-off to agree to return after the 2015 reunion. According to that latest gossip news updates, Cinderella demanded the network pay her an even hirer salary than they did in Season 7 despite her reportedly being the highest paid co-star already. Perhaps, NeNe was so enraged by the news that Bravo was also offering her nemesis, Claudia Jordan, her own series that she insisted that they sweeten the million dollar pot.
Whereas NeNe Leakes would usually be making the rounds this time of year -- telling everyone that will listen that she is considering quitting The Real Housewives of Atlanta once and for all -- the reality TV queen bee is busy promoting her new series with Kim Zolciak, NeNe And Kim: The Road To Riches instead.
Although Leakes is reportedly making more than her castmate on the new show, a source close to the trouble maker told Radar Online, that even that wasn't enough to get NeNe to agree to come back as a Housewife for Season 8:
"NeNe absolutely hated Housewives this season.
"But she is the most valuable person in the entire franchise and Bravo was going to do whatever she wanted to keep her...so they offered her a HUGE raise.
"She already makes the most and now they're giving her even more money per episode and her bonuses will be bigger too."
Baffling the mind as to where all these new series are going to go -- Claudia Jordan announced on Instagram, that in addition to NeNe and Kandi Burruss, she is also bargaining for her new Atlanta Housewives spin-off.
After Claudia took a selfie with a couple of the producers Easter afternoon she cryptically captioned that photo later with some noncommittal nonsense about landing a brand new show:
"Easter brunch with my boos @kingdomlos @b_solodolo in LA #Spinoff.
"LOL, just kidding...Ok may be not. Ok whatever..."
The ladies of less popular series like Orange County better watch out...Bravo might soon have to start cancelling some of its older programs just to balance the budget.
