Jamie Foxx Denies Dating Katie Holmes After Scientologist Tom Cruise Divorce

Forget what you may have seen on the cover of tabloids this week, Jamie Foxx is not dating Katie Holmes. A popular U.S. tabloid simply rehashed claims that Holmes has been seeing Foxx, following her high-profile divorce from scientologist Tom Cruise.

For months now, rumors have been swirling that Katie Holmes and triple threat Jamie Foxx are an item. So, it's only logical that a popular U.S. tabloid decided to put Katie and Jamie on the cover of this week's print edition.

After all, even People, a highly-trusted name in entertainment news, told readers that Jamie and Katie were casually dating:

"This is not some intense romance...Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn...But contrary to those conclusions, they're not about to run off and make some serious commitment."

Unfortunately for fans of the rumored couple, it appears that the dating allegations are totally false.

In fact, Jamie Foxx decided to address the issue head on last month, when a member of the paparazzi inquired about his relationship with Katie Holmes.

New York Daily News tells readers that Jamie continues to insist they are just friends:

They're just friends!

"Jamie Foxx denied rumors he's dating Katie Holmes, saying they are longtime friends who are working on an animated movie together...'Come on, you guys have been trying to get that to stick for three years,' Foxx chuckled to paps who questioned him about the Batman Begins star while he walked to his car in Los Angeles."

What do you think about the latest report? Is there any chance that Katie and Jamie are actually dating? If so, why does Foxx continue to deny their relationship? If the rumors are true, does Holmes and Foxx make a cuter couple than she and Cruise did?
