Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have officially called it quits. The pair will not have a wedding after all. But, months after their break up, Katy Perry and John Mayer are back together and doing better than ever.
Robert and Kristen parted ways back in May, but it didn't stop Stewart from following Rob around like a lost (and obsessed) puppy. It appears that she has finally given up on her fellow Twilight star.
This comes as a surprise to many, after Stewart publicly announced that she wanted to have Pattinson's baby. She was also secretly planning her dream wedding to the handsome, if pale, Robert.
While the exact details of their break up remain unknown, sources close to the couple claim that it was Stewart's obsession with Pattinson that ultimately ended their long, if troubled, relationship:
“Kristen wanted to go straight back to where they’d been before they first split up and pushed Rob really hard on it. She wanted the whole package: the house, the wedding and even the baby. It was all way too much for Rob to handle.Through the years, Kristen definitely became too dependent on Rob saving the day and taking her back. He had to constantly feel in charge of Kristen and eventually it just became too tiring.”
That wasn't the only deterrent to Rob and Kristen's relationship. Kristen was also jealous of Pattinson's friendship with Katy Perry. A source revealed to Grazia that:
"Kristen was never fully comfortable with Rob and Katy's relationship. She always suspected he had a soft spot for her. She's furious that the pair seem to have got together without so much as a word to her."
Of course, Katy Perry seemed to be going through her own relationship troubles with musician John Mayer. For now, those issues seem to be on hold.
At the start of his new tour, Mayer dedicated a song to Perry on stage. He went on to claim that she was responsible for his rehabilitation (following vocal surgery, earlier in the year).
Things seem to be going better for Mayer and Perry than they are for Pattinson and Stewart. Many media outlets are claiming that Rob is dating the granddaughter of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley.
