It can't always be easy channeling other people emotions when you are an actress with the time and talent of Jessica Chastain, but it appears all the work may be starting to affect her relationship with current boyfriend Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Zero Dark Thirty Oscar Nominee has been acting so standoffish lately after three years of dating, that the Italian fashion executive is ready to split. The Most Violent Year beauty may be having some difficulty showing any kind of enthusiasm with Gian, but Jessica could hardly hold back all the nice things she had to say about iconic Alien director, Ridley Scott. The Help actress insists that Ridley has helped changed the landscape of Hollywood cinema for the better by casting women as the leads in his blockbusters.
At 38-years-old one might assume that Jessica Chastain would be more than ready to settle down with her longtime Italian fashion executive boyfriend, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, but it seems that Jess is actually kind of growing tired of having him around.
A source close to the couple revels in the April 6, issue of Star Magazine, that Chastain use to be all about showing her man some love whether in public or private, but the only way to even get her touch Gian these days is to film it for posterity:
"When they first began dating, Jessica was extremely affectionate...but now she is distant.
"When she knows the cameras are around, she'll hold his hands or link arms, but behind the scenes she barely goes near him."
According to the spy, Gian is really starting to take offence at being constant ignored -- especially when considering how warmly she treats everyone else around him:
"Jessica gets so excited to see everyone else, even her girlfriends.
"He's starting to take it personally."
Perhaps, Jessica is just starting to realize that Preposula just isn't as impressive as some of the folks she's currently hobnobbing with -- like Ridley Scott.
In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Chastain seemed unable to heap enough praise on the Scottish director for he's done to improve the status of women in movie bussiness (via ContactMusic):
"I've always been a fan of Ridley's. He's a gem of a human being, for starters. And he provided so many great roles for women.
"Look at Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis in Thelma And Louise.
"And there was Sigourney Weaver, as Ripley in Alien.
"That was originally written for a man, and he changed it to a woman. That doesn't happen a lot in our business."
Well...Gian Luca should keep an eye on Ridley Scott if he does nothing else.
