Lady Gaga’s Twitter Clues: New Single Release, Music and Tour Rumors 2013

Lady Gaga, who is one of the biggest stars in the world, has recently shut down her Twitter account. Many fans feel that this is a clue about her upcoming music and the first single to be released from her 2013 album. While this is currently nothing more than rumors, we can confirm that the star is planning a new tour this year, which will feature music from ARTPOP.

Gaga hasn’t released an album since 2011’s Born This Way, and fans cannot wait to get their hands on some of her new music. Perhaps their anticipation for her upcoming album is what’s circulating all of these online rumors.

Of course, it’s not unheard of for an artist to play around with their Twitter account, prior to making a big announcement. As EntertainmentWise reports:

“Some fans have speculated that it's part of a pre-release marketing campaign from her new single - slightly echoing Demi Lovato's blackout campaign from February, where she changed her profile picture and backgrounds on all social media sites to plain black ahead of the release of 'Heart Attack'.”

Gaga is considered by many to be a master of publicity...and cash. Forbes recently labeled the singer ‘Most Powerful’ in their annual list of popular, powerful and rich celebs. Gaga took first place in the “musician’s” category.

One reason Lady Gaga will be touring in this upcoming year, is because her last tour was so successful, despite being cut short. The star had to have emergency hip surgery and had to cancel many of her tour dates. Despite the cancellations, the star was still able to acquire over $50 million dollars for touring.

The only formal announcements about the album come from Zedd, the German DJ who is producing ARTPOP:

"I'm really, really excited for people to hear what we came up with. I just really can't imagine they would not like it, to just say it straight up. I think the stuff we've made is pretty f--cking cool. It's amazing, because does not have to please anyone, and she is who she is. Her first idea of how we should approach the music was just to be completely open--nothing is too crazy. Whatever is dope is dope. We do whatever we want, and we don't have to make a song that's three minutes and 30 seconds just to fit the radio."
