Miley Cyrus has been catching a lot of negative press lately. Many media outlets are reporting that the star is breaking up with fiance, Liam Hemsworth, despite the fact that she visited the actor on the set of his upcoming movie. Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus comment on Liam's treatment of his daughter, while Miley's friends fear that the singer is way too thin.
Despite rumors circulating online that the duo have called it quits, Miley and Liam were spotted in public over the weekend. The stars were out and about in Canada. The above photo was taken at the Jasper Fairmont Park Lodge in Alberta.
Cyrus was happy to pose with fans at an indoor mall. One onlooker, who didn't ask the star for a pic, relayed her experience:
"She said hi and was nice and kept texting on her phone. The thing [that was noticable] was the ring Miley was wearing," says the witness. "It looked like big engagement ring. It was a massive. She was wearing short, shorts and heels and was all legs. She was very pleasant and seemed happy texting whoever she was texting."
Despite her upbeat attitude, friends of Miley are concerned with her eating habits, and believes that constant fighting with Liam is responsible. A source close to the former Hannah Montana star tells Heat Magazine:
“Her diet and exercise regime has become like a religion--it’s what’s getting her through one of the more stressful times of her life. But she can’t carry on this way. People are scared she’ll make herself ill.”
Miley, who is now 20, recently went on vacation to beautiful Hope Town, Bahamas. The star, who was staying at a lovely beach villa, brought two friends with her. Her future-hubby, however, was not in attendance.
Sources claim that Cyrus' parents, Billy Ray and Tish, are furious about the situation:
"It breaks Billy Ray's heart to see his little girl crying and he blames Liam. Miley is still Billy Ray's baby, she always will be, so anytime someone hurts her he gets really defensive and over the past few months all the drama with Liam has been a huge emotional roller coaster for her. That's so hard on her. It really, really upsets her when she can't reach Liam, she wonders where he's at and who he's with. It's torture for her and it's her mom and dad that are left dealing with it."
It appears that Mr. Hemsworth and Cyrus have been spending a lot of time apart these days. But, despite all of the recent talk about her relationship and overly-sexual music video, Miley doesn't seem concerned with all of the haters:
"Haters are going to hate, but haters are also going to click on your YouTube video to watch it, so I don't really care. You helped me break the record. And if you were watching just to hate on me, now I hold the record, so I win."
