There is a lot of buzz that Jane Lynch will be leaving the set of Glee after this upcoming season. The star is set to host NBC’s new show, Hollywood Game Night.
Lynch is denying that she plans to ditch the hit FOX TV show, Glee. Rumors have been circulating about Jane’s possible departure for quite some time, but her decision to host a show on another network has gotten people talking again.
Would Lynch ever leave a show like Glee? Commenting on recent cast departures, Lynch said:
“That’s the nature of portraying a realistic view of high school: Kids graduate. They move on…I like that we’re following some of the kids to New York, where they’re trying to make it as actors and actresses. But the show will evolve, and when a show evolves that means you have to let some people go, and let some storylines go, so that you can pursue new ones.”
Lynch tries to describe her upcoming project with NBC. It will be a gameshow like no one has ever seen before, claims Jane:
“That’s the fun thing about Hollywood Game Night: Everyone shows up to play. And if they don’t, they get there within 30 seconds. It’s like going to a Hollywood party, but you’re one of them. It’s raucous and fun, and it’s the great equalizer--once you get started you can’t tell the civilian from the celebrity.”
