Lady Gaga's new album ARTPOP will be released in 2013. While there are a ton of rumors about her new songs and tour, the focus of today's headlines are actually court documents. Gaga is trying to seal a case that could be damaging to her reputation.
Lady Gaga, who recently suspended her Twitter account, is now trying to prevent some court documents from being revealed to the public. As TMZ reported:
"Lady Gaga is so afraid of what is being said in a lawsuit involving two of the people who discovered her, that she's filed legal docs to try and keep certain information from EVER seeing the light of day."
It appears that Gaga is not directly involved with the lawsuit, which is occurring between longtime pal, Wendy Starland, and ex-boyfriend, Rob Fusari. Fusari was once Gaga's producer and is now being sued by Starland for funds she claims she is owed for "discovering" Lady Gaga.
In addition to claiming that she and Fusari signed a non-disparagement agreement, Gaga also says that the revelations will "inflict significant personal and professional harm upon" her.
And, it's no surprise that someone is suing for part of the stars fortune. A few weeks back, it was revealed that the artist made Forbes' 'Most Powerful' list.
From June 2012 to June 2013, the artist raked in over $80 million, and that’s just for touring! Many media outlets suggest that the singer could have made up to $120 million if she didn’t have to cut short her last tour. Gaga had to undergo emergency hip surgery, so that she could continue her provocative and sexually charged dance numbers.
