Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's poor choice making matriarch, Mama June Shannon is back in LA doing her best to land another lucrative TV deal featuring the McIntyre, Georgia family we've all grown to know and love -- TLC bans be damned. According to the latest gossip news updates, Alana Thompson's ambitious mom is letting her lawyers worry about the network contract forbidding them from signing to any new shows before May. It was also reported recently that June was doing her best to get serious about shedding some weight in order to gain the attention of the Biggest Loser producers, but Sugar Bear's brother, Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson insists the weight loss won't stick if it even takes off at all.
With their former network, TLC, threatening to sue the family if Mama June Shannon winds up prematurely making a deal for a new show before the time stipulated in her Here Comes Honey Boo Boo contract, the mother of four is making sure that everyone understands she hasn't signed amythingjust yet.
When a TMZ cameraman caught the clan arriving at LAX, Shannon went out of her way to explain that the family was just in town putting out some feelers:
"We're just in meetings right now...honestly.
"We are just in meetings...talking.
"Discussing what is going on in our future right now...with different companies that are interested."
Not quite being satisfied -- the reporter asked June point blank about TLC's forbidding them from any new television deals for at least the next couple months.
Unphased -- Shannon simply explained that they have people handling that sort of thing so they don't have to worry about it:
"Well, that why we have our attorney's taking care of that.
"That's not what we are doing right now...I am not worried about that.
"I'm just doing what we are doing and moving on with life after TLC."
Since publicly hiring a celebrity trainer to supposedly whip her into shape, Mama June is also said to be eyeing a spot on the Biggest Loser, but Uncle Poodle thinks the whole thing is a big joke.
Thompson told Radar Online that if June did wind up actually losing the weight that keeping it off would be a miracle:
"If she's serious about it, then good for her.
"But she never stays on diets for long; she gains the weight right back.
"She doesn't eat in moderation."
Sounds like somebody's bitter about not being offered a part on the new show.
