Rumors that Kendall Jenner is pregnant and engaged to Scott Disick have finally begun to wane this week. These claims have taken a backseat after a popular U.S.-based tabloid had to apologize to Kendall for publishing a fake interview where Kendall reportedly talked about dad Bruce Jenner being transsexual.
When it comes to American tabloids, it often seems like the gossip rags can get away with saying anything they want about celebrities.
That seems especially true when it comes to the Kardashian/Jenner clan, who significantly drive up copy sales anytime they grace the cover of the tabloids.
But, there are exceptions, as proven by yesterday's US Weekly article, where the tabloid apologized to Kendall for getting their facts wrong.
According to the publication, a third party conducted the alleged interview, which Kendall denied via Twitter. Us Weekly promptly removed the story, even offering their apologies to Kendall via a statement on their website:
"When Ms. Jenner denied, via Twitter, that the interview took place, Us Weekly immediately reached out to the freelance reporter. He stood by the interview, and continues to maintain that the quotes are accurate. However, after attempting to reconfirm his account, editors of Us have concerns about the veracity of this interview...We sincerely apologize to Ms. Jenner and her family."
Of course, that doesn't mean that other media outlets are going to clean up their acts.
In fact, Hollywood Life is now reporting that Kendall may have a new boyfriend. According to one source who spoke with the publication, Kendall could be dating bad boy Justin Bieber:
"When Kendall and Justin are together, they flirt SO hardcore. They love telling people they're just friends, but they're playing with everyone -- there is more to it. They've hooked up in the past and there's still something there. They just like to keep it totally secret, but a lot of people know there is something there. They aren't fooling everyone..."
