'The Voice' Judge Shakira Wins $300 Million Lawsuit, Disses President's Son

Shakira, pop princess and coach on The Voice, is singing a song of relief tonight. Her ex boyfriend, Antonio de La Rua (who is the son of a president) was suing for part of her $300 million dollar Live Nation contract. The judge of the case ruled in favor of Ms. Shakira.

The judge, who presides in Geneva, blocked an application filed by Mr. Antonio which would have granted him access to one of Ms. Shakira's account. The account in question is currently worth an estimated $300 million.

La Rua claims that he should have access to the account because it holds the bulk of their collective assets. Mr. La Rua isn't making a palimony claim, however.

For a significant period of time, Antonio served as a business advisor for Shakira. The two were together for over a decade and it is unclear as to when he officially became an advisor.

The suit claimed that Antonio and Shakira were to continue working together even after the pair called it quits in 2011. Unfortunately for Antonio, there is absolutely no written agreement claiming this to be true.

In fact, Shakira is claiming that Antonio never even served as an advisor and that she simply pitied him.

Antonio is the son of former Argentine President Fernando de la Rua and claims that he is responsible for negotiating the lucrative Live Nation deal. He also claims that he has been in charge of the singer's branding since 2005.

Despite the ruling of the judge, Antonio plans on suing Shakira in California as well as New York.
