In addition to recently marrying Amal Alamuddin in Venice and trying to bring worldwide attention to present day atrocities, George Clooney has also been keeping himself very busy churning out a string of new movies for Hollywood. According to the latest gossip news updates, Clooney, whose new trailer for Tomorrowland was just released yesterday, while be joined by Julia Robert and Breaking Bad's most brilliant villain, Giancarlo Esposito, in the new Jodie Foster directed drama, Money Monster. Being that Clooney has yet to finish filming the Coen Brothers' Hail Caesar, you have to wonder if there really is any truth to those ugly rumors insisting the ER actor is trying to avoid his new wife.
Having already proven that he can play the brains behind the most complex of organization as Walter White's badass jefa in Braking Bad, Giancarlo Esposito is set once against to play the main man in charge in Jodie Foster's new film, Money Monster.
According to Deadline, Esposito joins an all-star cast -- including George Clooney and Julia Robert -- in a film that seems set to comment on America's obsession with wealth and violence in a stingle stroke:
"He will portray Captain Marcus Powell, the NYPD lead officer in charge of the situation with a gunman holding a TV stock tip announcer named Lee Gates [Clooney] hostage.
"Esposito's character tries desperately to bring the ordeal to a peaceful close as the gunman promises to kill Gates if the cameras are turned off, thereby captivating a nation."
Apparently, filming will have to wait until Clooney finishes shooting the current Coen Brothers' project, Hail Caesar, as well as his promoting the release of his new Disney movie, Tommorwland, the trailer for which was just released yesterday.
Director Brad Bird, who made over $700 million with the Tom Cruise helmed Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, was in charge, reports Business Insider, of bringing the new movie based on a theme park ride to life on the big screen:
"Named after the popular Disney theme-park attraction, Tomorrowland stars George Clooney as a scientist who takes a teenager [Britt Robertson] on a journey into a futuristic world that could hold the key to saving the planet."
With the insane amount of work that the newlywed Clooney keeps putting on his plate, perhaps he is already becoming that sad guy at the bar trying desperately to find any excuse not to go home to his wife.
