Streaming Apple Spring Forward Keynote Event: iWatch Details, Specs, Release Date, Apps Revealed? [RUMORS]

Apple will be streaming their highly-anticipated Spring Forward keynote event today. Although the tech giant has remained as secretive as usual about the upcoming proceedings, many are suggesting that Apple will be revealing everything you need to know about the Apple Watch (dubbed iWatch by the press), including the device's specs, release date, price and apps.

Like countless Apple events before this one, the tech world - and the stock market - is eagerly awaiting the company's revelations.

The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. EST and, although Apple has yet to confirm what is on the itinerary, popular technology website Tech Crunch thinks that the Apple Watch will take center stage:

"At 10 AM PT on Monday, March 9, Apple will be hosting an event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, and the Apple Watch will probably be the start of the show. The company's first smartwatch is sure to offer up a few surprises, even though we've already seen a lot of official information about the Apple Watch emerge..."

While Apple has released a considerable amount of information about their newest product line, a number of unknowns remain.

The biggest question, perhaps, is when the device will actually be available to purchase. Although the product has been featured on Apple's website since September of last year, there is still no official release date.

In addition to announcing when users can expect to wear the device, Engadget is reporting that device-specific apps will also likely be featured:

"There's also a good chance that Apple will do much, much more to promote apps. Bloomberg hears that the company has been inviting developers to top-secret test labs in hopes of getting their Watch-compatible apps ready for launch, and that you'll probably see some of these at the presentation. That makes sense knowing the company's tendencies."
