After years of suffering in virtual obscurity and silence, LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, is finally taking the former child star to task for her career altering decision to leave him for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hubby, Eddie Cibrian. According to the latest gossip news updates, the New York City chef is insisting the worse thing Brandi Glanville's archrival ever did was shift her focus from being a successful country singer to being faux famous in the tabloids. Sheremet seems to take some of the blame for their subsequent divorce but insists that it was the worst business decision that LeAnn has or ever will make. To hear Dean tell it, all one has to do is look at LeAnn's dwindling net worth to know the truth.
Several weeks ago, Dean Sheremet made a point of explaining that his new book wouldn't be about settling the score with celebrity ex-wife, LeAnn Rimes
It seems, Dean was instead waiting for his interview with Nat's Next Adventure to let the former country music star have in with both barrels.
Dean explained that before he ever even heard the name Eddie Cibrian, he and LeAnn were admittedly having serious problems with their marriage feeling more like a business arrangement that a loving partnership built out of mutual commitment and understanding (via Entertainment Tonight):
"Unfortunately, I think the business ended up destroying us...That passion for our marriage wasn't there.
"I was so intertwined in managing her career that I didn't know how to make the distinction between husband and boss, husband and partner, husband and manager... I was husband, father, friend, lover, manager."
According to Dean even with all the troubles they were having in their marriage, he never truly believed she would cheat on him until they met sleazy Eddie Cibrian on the Lifetime set of Northern Lights back in 2009:
"If you're in a room with him, he's probably one of the most charming people you'll ever meet. But I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw this f--king table.
"He just felt like one of those guys from the beginning.
"A total schmoozer. Very Hollywood. I never bought his shtick. But I wasn't worried."
Despite having plainly gotten the shorter in of the stick in the whole divorce deal, Sheremet seems to be able to content himself these days with the smug realization that without him in her corner LeAnn's career has become the complete laughing stock of the country music community (via Malay Mail):
"[At first] it felt like we were a team. As it went on, the team became toxic.
"But when we were working together, we were brilliant.
"The dumbest thing she ever did for her career was divorce me. Because we were such a good team.
"The last hit song she had was when she was with me."
Well...at least he's not bitter.
