Lady Gaga, world superstar, is releasing new music in 2013. Her upcoming album, ARTPOP, is one of the most anticipated albums of the year. Fans are clamoring for her new work after her recent performance at the NYC Pride Parade.
Lady Gaga has proven herself time and time again. Her past four albums have surpassed many industry records, and ARTPOP is sure to be no different.
One of the albums producers, DJ Zedd, is super excited about the new work. He can't wait for fans to hear the tracks he helped produce:
"I just really can't imagine they would not like it, to just say it straight up," Zedd tells Rolling Stone. "I think the stuff we've made is pretty f-cking cool."
Obscenities aside, we can't help but agree. It's been hard getting news on the soemtimes-reclusive Gaga, especially since she put her last tour on hold.
Lady Gaga made her first public appearance since February, when she attended the New York City Gay Pride Parade. The artist has been flying under the radar since undergoing hip surgery a few months ago.
The wait was totally worth it! Gaga performed a heart-warming rendition of The Star Spangled Banner to a huge audience. If only for a night, Gaga put the focus on the gay and lesbian community and not her own music, which fans are eager to get a taste of.
Not a lot of information has been released about Gaga’s upcoming album, ARTPOP. But, what rumors we’ve heard leave us, and most of the world, in anticipation.
And, how could it not? Lady Gaga is such a force that two newly identified species of ferns have been named in honor of the singer.
Maybe that’s one of the reasons Forbes has labeled the singer the most powerful musician in the world. While having a plant named after you was not part of their official criteria, the magazine did take into account a number of other factors.
First, and obviously most important, was money. From June 2012 to June 2013, the artist raked in over $80 million, and that’s just for touring! Many media outlets suggest that the singer could have made up to $120 million if she didn’t have to cut short her last tour.
Gaga had to undergo emergency hip surgery, so that she could continue her provocative and sexually charged dance numbers.
Forbes also took into account the singer’s massive social media presence. On Twitter, Gaga has a staggering 38 million followers. She does even better on Facebook, with over 58 million fans.
Both those numbers are sure to increase when the starlet releases her fourth album, ARTPOP, later this year.
