Taking home four Grammys in one sitting is something you should feel proud about until the end of our days, but word has it Sam Smith could use to scale it back a bit. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "Stay with Me" singer is fast earning the reputation for one of the worst behaved stars in the music industry. There are multiple reports surfacing that claim the 22-year-old "Lay Me Down" Brit abuses everyone from sound engineers to bar tenders.
It would seem that Sam Smith's growing popularity in the US is rivaled only by his growing reputation as be a royal pain in everyone's side.
A behind-the-scenes eye-witness reveals in the March 9 issue of Star Magazine, that when Sam showed up to rehearse for his Grammy's performance he seemed to be entertaining himself with trying to make his coworkers cry:
"Sam now has one of the worst attitudes in the business...It's disappointing to watch who he has become.
"He belittled on guy who didn't have Sam's preferred microphone on hand, then had a meltdown because the frequencies were off.
"He could have asked nicely, but instead he decided to humiliate his own team."
And apparently, Sam's bad behavior doesn't just stop at trying to verbally tear folks in the industry from limb to limb.
One source recalled a recent trip to an L.A. bar in Life & Style Magazine the day after the Grammy's where Smith practically turned the whole room against him by giving the bartender a lousy tip:
"He bought a $60 round of drinks and only tipped the bartender three bucks!
"One rowdy patron, who had a little bit too much to drink, screamed out, 'Take Sam Smith's music off the jukebox -- now!'"
Instead of recognizing this burgeoning diva attitude and nipping it in the bud before it gets out of control, however, the informant insists that Sam is oblivious to the trouble he's causing:
"He didn't seem to understand what all the fuss was about."
Well...at just 22-years-old, Sam Smith has plenty of time left for his maturity to catch up to his talent.
