Director Paul Feig is pretty serious about this whole Ghostbusters reboot (2016 remake) thing. Dead serious to be exact. Feig was recently appeared on Chris Hardwick’s Talking Dead, where he said that he wants his all female reboot of the classic film series to as scary as The Walking Dead, or at least as close to that as it can be while staying funny.
While appearing on a recent episode of The Walking Dead after show, The Talking Dead, Paul Feig was asked about having zombies in the new Ghostbusters reboot, to which he replied (via Blastr):
“I will say, I was very inspired by this show. What I love is how they play with the danger, they play with the scariness, but also the idea that it's always about gauntlet run. And that's something, an element I want to bring to this Ghostbusters reboot is having to get through these various obstacles that are supernatural and all that. I really feed off of The Walking Dead.”

Leslie Jones recently tweeted a picture of herself and the rest of the new Ghostbusters reboot cast at the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary special:
