Chris Brown is back in the news after new assault charges were filed against the singer. Deanna Gines, not Rihanna, is claiming Brown attacked her. To top all of that, Mr. Brown just got charged with a hit and run.
Chris Brown loves hitting things. Back in 2009, he beat the heck out of Rihanna's face. As a result of battering the young starlet, Brown was sentenced to five years probation.
He hasn’t been able to catch a break yet. The newest charges levied against the singer come from Los Angeles city police. This time he didn’t hit a woman, but instead, another vehicle.
LAPD is claiming that Mr. Brown did not exchange valid information after he hit a vehicle back in May. They say this was impossible to do, primarily because Mr. Brown does not possess a valid driver’s license.
Brown took to Twitter to refute these claims:
"It's not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous. I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures. My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!"
Cars aren’t the only thing that Mr. Brown has hit lately (allegedly).
New assault charges levied against the musician stem from an incident that occurred after a concert he performed Saturday night. Brown took part at Powerhouse 2013, which occurred at the Honda Center.
After his performance, Brown went to the Heat Ultra Lounge. The club, which is located in Anaheim, Calif, hosted Chris and Crew post concert.
Shortly before the club closed, Deanna Gimes claims that Mr. Brown pushed her down. The altercation, allegedly, caused Ms. Gimes some terrible injuries.
She posted a photo of herself in a cast, clutching a pair of crutches. She claims that the fall caused torn ligaments in her knees.
Gimes immediately filed a police report against Brown and an investigation is currently underway.
Sources close to the club's management issued the following statement:
“The girl was talking to police and belligerent and claiming he pushed her down stairs. She then threw her shoe at security and started picking things off the ground and throwing them. She is an obsessed, drunk girl using Chris as part of her fantasy club night. He is the victim of her wild imagination and overindulgence in alcohol and who knows what else."
Brown, who has taken many hits to his reputation in the past, is also speaking out about the damning claims:
“The devil is always working. If it wasn’t for my faith and my fans, I would’ve quick music along time ago. I’m tired of it man….!”
