Miss USA 2013: Miss Utah Marissa Powell's Hilarious Answer [VIDEO] [Transcript]

If you watched the Miss USA 2013 competition on Sunday, then you definitely remember Miss Utah, Marissa Powell. She may not have won the contest, but she did offer up the most hilarious answer in the Q & A section.

Marissa Powell, a Salt Lake City native, started off well enough. In fact, she seemed to navigate to the final five with considerable ease.

This was, of course, until the question and answer round. Ms. Powell ran into considerable trouble when NeNe Leakes, celebrity judge, asked her the following question:

"A recent report shows that in 40% of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?"

And what was her response?

"I think we can relate this back to education and how we are continuing to try to strive to figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem, and I think especially the men are seen as the leaders of this, and so we need to try to figure out how to create education better so that we can solve this problem. Thank you."

Check it out for yourself:Our favorite response from any beauty contest comes from Miss Teen South Carolina, Caitlyn Upton. When asked about why children failed to locate America on a map, she responded:

"I personally believe that...U.S. Americans...are unable to do so, because uh...some, people out there, in our nation don't have maps and uh...I believe that our education like such as in South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere like such as...and, I believe they should uh, our education over here,in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us."

Well Said!
