Cleveland Cavaliers Small Forward LeBron James Featured In NYC Kia Commercial, Upcoming All-Star MVP

In this modern day and age, LeBron James and pro-basketball go hand in hand. James has evolved into the face of the sport, and many compare him to the great Michael Jordan. In recent news, James showed up to do a Kia commercial in the busy New York City streets. Also, with NBA All-Star weekend upon us, it is necessary to analyze LeBron's standpoint in the game, and whether or not the superstar will take home his third All-Star MVP award.

Before his time as a professional, LeBron played high school ball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. During his time there, he was highly covered by the media nation wide.

Right out of high school, his outstanding statistics and performances earned him a first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA. Since then he has become one of the most popular and successful athletes in professional sports, period.

James was recently spotted out in NYC where he used his fame to his advantage. According to TMZ Sports, he banged out his Kia commercial with ease:

"LeBron James dropped in to the set of a car commercial in the middle of a busy NYC street -- NAILED his part -- and peaced out like a pro. When 'Bron got to the set of the Kia spot, the car was already set up...the crew was ready to go...and James knew his part. Two takes later, the director was happy...LeBron bolted from the set ... and was off to the next big NBA All-Star Weekend event."

Speaking of All-Star weekend, one tends to wonder if James will let his busy affect his performance. According to ESPN, James' overall dominance suggest he will not:

"James was unanimously elected as vice president of the players' union at a meeting he did not even attend...It is indeed James' league. He draws more fans, sells more shoes, makes more money and wields more power than anyone in the league. As for the game itself, James sort of feels like he controls that too. Maybe he'll decide to win his third All-Star MVP, or maybe he'll let someone else win."
