Jennifer Lopez and her ex-boyfriend Casper Smart supposedly split back in July after the choreographer was reportedly caught cheating on the American Idol judge with transsexual models he met on Twitter. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, the "Booty" singing sex-symbol has actually secretly been dating the 27-year-old boy toy for months now. Seemingly proving that the split was just for the papers is the lawsuit by J Lo's neighbor that alleges Casper's pet pit bulls having been staying at Jen's L.A. mansion nonstop since January 8.
After Casper Smart embarrassed his high profile girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, as well as himself when transgender Twitter models came forward to swear they had affairs with the dancer, one might think that Jenny from the Block would have thrown her beau to the curb forever, but that's not how it appears from the outside looking in.
Jen's neighbor seemingly broke the news about their reconciliation by filing a lawsuit alleging that Jennifer Lopez was liable for an attack by Casper's dogs, since she has been keeping the animals -- and their owner -- at her house for weeks (via TMZ):
"Andrea Ashley says she was getting out of her car back in December...when Smart's boxer named Bear mauled her left arm and hand.
"Right after the attack... Casper walked out of J Lo's house wearing only pajama bottoms and came over to apologize.
"She says Bear has remained at Jennifer's home since Jan. 8...and she's afraid he could get out again."
A source in the February 23, issue of In Touch explains the perhaps Jennifer will finally get around to replacing Casper eventually, but right now he serves too important a function in the day-to-day running of things to be let go entirely:
"Jennifer says Casper is the ultimate friends with benefits.
"I hate to be blunt, but Jennifer has needs and Casper fulfills them -- for now it's just a hookup.
"[But] Casper still has a hold on Jennifer...She says she still loves Casper, so who knows what will happen."
Not to point out the obvious...but it is pretty doubtful that Jennifer Lopez would have a problem finding any number of men -- or women -- that would be more than ready, willing and able to satisfy her every imaginable need if she should so choose.
