Former Patriot Aaron Hernandez Murder Trial Arrest Update: Juror Removed for Ulterior Motives

At one point, the former New England Patriot tight end Aaron Hernandez was one of the top performers on the championship team. He was let go in 2013 in lieu of the ongoing court case surrounding the murder of semi-pro footballer Odin Lloyd. Now, reports are claiming that a female juror was let go after she was discovered to be a big time Patriots fan. Also, recent testimonies and videos have seemingly tightened the proverbial noose around Hernandez's neck.

Before his time as a professional, Aaron played college ball for the University of Florida. Not only was he a member of the Gator's squad, he was also a member of the BCS National Team. During this time, he was also recognized as an All-American.

His noteworthy performances and consistent stats earned him a spot with the New England Patriots during the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He was a crucial part of the offense, and he served as a counter-part and partner to the ever-effective Rob Gronkowski.

In 2013, however, he was let go after it was revealed that he was the main suspect in the murder of Odin Lloyd. According to TMZ Sports, one juror was recently let go after it was revealed that she might have ulterior motives with her involvement in the case:

"One of the jurors Aaron Hernandez's murder trial has been 86'd from the jury -- after a judge said she was a bigger Patriots fan than she led on to be. Potential jurors were specifically asked how many Patriots game they had attended ... and if they were a fan of the team...This particular juror 'attended more Patriots games than [previously] disclosed'...The judge also said, 'Over the last few years, the juror has expressed an interest in serving on this particular jury'...The juror has officially been dismissed."

Also, the case seems to heat up with each passing day. According to Yahoo Sports, trial day 3 was detrimental for the defense:

"In compelling yet circumstantial testimony Tuesday, the prosecution attempted to paint the jury a picture of a cover-up. No murder weapon has been discovered since Odin Lloyd was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds the morning of June 17, 2013. The prosecution's theory is that the murder weapon was discarded by Shayanna Jenkins...The state presented video footage of Hernandez holding a gun inside his home minutes after Lloyd was murdered..."
