Bruce Jenner's recent transgendered cover photo (which was totally photoshopped) has many up in arms. This includes ex-wife Kris Jenner, who divorced the former Olympian last year, as well as the rest of the Kardashian clan.
In case you missed In Touch's recent cover, Bruce Jenner is depicted as a woman with bright red lipstick.
The photo, which is clearly fake, has angered many. Kris Jenner, who often jokes about her husband's appearance, may have taken the most offense.
According to one source who spoke with New York Daily News, Kris and the Kardashians are officially banning In Touch:
"Kris (Jenner) has cut off contact with In Touch, Life & Style and all Bauer publications...They won't get any 'real' quotes from the family, and will be banned from Kardashian-Jenner red carpets, events, premieres and fashion events...Kris is a powerhouse -- you'd better believe she'll stick to it."
Of course, Kris isn't the only one to take offense with the magazine's insensitive cover.
Howard Bragman, an activist for the transgendered community and PR rep for celebs like Chaz Bono, doesn't think the cover is a laughing matter.
According to USA Today, Bragman compares the transgendered photo to blackface:
"It's the transgender equivalent of blackface...It is offensive, unacceptable and transphobic...Magazines fight for attention and they're certainly getting that...I do not believe in the concept of attention at any price...It's provocative, of course! To see his Adam's apple gone, to see the changes he's gone through, the polished nails...But it's none of your business until he decides, on his terms and his time. And we should all be willing to abide by the outcome."
What do you think about the latest reports? Was In Touch out of line with their latest cover photo? Do you think Bruce Jenner is really undergoing surgery to become a woman? Did Howard Bragman just confirm Bruce's transformation?
