The Village Voice, the nation's largest alt weekly, announced earlier this month that tickets are selling fast for the 58th Annual Obie Awards at Webster Hall on Monday, May 20, 2013.
(Don't worry too much, though. As of today, there are $25 general admission tickets still available from Ticketfly.)
And it's a good thing, too, as the 2013 Obies will feature a performance from the amazing David Byrne and Fatboy Slim musical, Here Lies Love.
Within a pulsating dance club atmosphere, Byrne and Slim deconstruct the astonishing journey of Filipina First Lady Imelda Marcos--retracing her meteoric rise to power and subsequent descent into disgrace at the end of the People Power Revolution.

Here Lies Love is neither a period piece nor a biography, neither play nor traditional musical.
No, it's an immersive theatrical event.
Combining songs influenced by four decades of dance music, adrenaline-fueled choreography and a remarkable 360-degree scenic and video environment, Here Lies Love goes beyond Imelda's near-mythic obsession with shoes to explore the tragic consequences of abusing power.
Let us let David Byrne, himself, explain.
The 58th Annual Obie Awards will be co-hosted by Jessica Hecht, known for her many memorable performances on stage and screen (most recently, opposite Jim Parsons in Broadway's Harvey), and Jeremy Shamos, an Obie winner (and a Tony nominee for his performance in Clybourne Park).
Hecht and Shamos are currently starring together in Obie-winning playwright Richard Greenberg's The Assembled Parties.
